Notice and warning to patrons/operators using Turo car sharing at Sonoma County Airport (STS)

Turo is an unauthorized Commercial Vehicle Operator at STS. Turo is in violation of Airport Rules and Regulations, and all affiliates of Turo are also in violation. Vehicle owners renting out their vehicles on STS property will be fined $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second offense, and $500 for each additional offense within a calendar year, per Article I, of the Sonoma County Code established Administrative Citations for violations of Airport Rules and Regulations. Fines for violations are set by Government Codes 53069.4, 25132, and 36900.

Turo is a peer-to-peer carsharing company based in San Francisco. They provide a website for private car owners to rent out their vehicles to other individuals for short-term rental. Please be aware that Turo does not have an agreement with the Airport for this service and no one associated with Turo, or any individual, may leave or pick up a private rental car on Airport premises. Citations and fines will be issued to all parties associated with Turo, or private rentals, if they operate at the Airport. Pick-ups and Drop-offs

The passenger pick-up and drop-off loading zone is located at the curb directly in front of the Terminal. This area is intended for quick pick-up/drop-off. Unattended vehicles in this loading zone will be cited.
